Academy payment is due by November 1, but it is filling fast so don’t delay! Team Registration payment can be made at the same time. If you choose to pay separately, that fee is due by December 1.
Please go to ACADEMY PAYMENT on the left hand side of this page and follow the simple steps to finalize your Academy registration and make your online payment. You can pay for the Academy and for your team registration if you choose to, or just pay the Academy fee at this time.
You will need to check in on your first night in the upper lobby of the Brighton Sports Zone. You will receive two Pittsford Mustang Academy tee shirts which we ask you to wear each time.
Please come prepared to play with a properly inflated soccer ball, indoor shoes (no cleats!) and a great attitude!

ANNOUNCING PITTSFORD MUSTANGS ACADEMY featuring DOUG MILLER SOCCER TRAINING...
The Pittsford Mustangs have entered a partnership with Doug Miller Soccer to bring the Pittsford Community the finest training in Rochester for youth soccer.
Here are the Academy Details:
The Pittsford Mustangs Soccer Academy (PMSA) is a skill-development program designed to enhance the skills of our Travel Soccer Players.
The 2009-2010 PMSA will change in the following way:
· Expands to include all soccer players U8 through U16
· Will run for 5 weeks for each group; 3 sessions per week, each session 1.5hours
o U8-11 is October-November and U12-16 is November-December 2009
· Will be run by an external group of highly qualified Coaches, with participation from selected Pittsford Mustang Coaches. ALL coaches are encouraged to attend a minimum of 50% of sessions to observe and assist as required.
· Will continue to include a Goal Keeper Academy. Details to follow.
How will the PMSA work?
Any player, U8-U16, selected for Travel Soccer (see below) will have the opportunity to participate in a 5-week, skill development program that will utilize a curriculum designed to enhance soccer skills in a fun but challenging environment.
The Academy is separate from the Travel program this year and is OPTIONAL, but highly recommended. Registration is available online, with online Travel registration.
The Academy schedule is as follows:
Boys and Girls U8-U9:
Thursday, October 1- Thursday, October 29.
- Tuesday & Thursday 5:30-7pm.
- Saturday 9:30-11am.
Evaluations: U8-9 Monday and Wednesday, November 2 and 4 from 5-7pm.
Boys & Girls U10-11:
Friday, October 2 – Sunday, November 1.
- Wednesday and Friday 5:30-7pm
- Sunday 4-5:30pm.
Evaluations: U10-11 Saturday and Sunday, November 7 and 8, 4-6pm
How does the Academy work with Travel Team TRYOUTS?
U8-U11 Boys and Girls will register online and attend evaluation sessions in September. They will be accepted into Pittsford Mustangs Travel soccer or advised to continue in USL. They WILL NOT be placed on a specific team until November, post-Academy. This preliminary tryout schedule (September) allows us to give immediate feedback to players and parents as to Travel-Soccer readiness, and we can get a sense for how many teams and Coaches we will need. In November, U8-11 players will be evaluated for team placement. Player’s team placement notification will take place the following week. Team practices will begin in January 2010.
U12-16 will attend TRYOUTS in September, and be placed on an appropriate team by mid-October. The Academy is an optional, additional training opportunity AFTER the players in this age group have been placed on a team.
Where does the training take place?
September Tryouts will be conducted at fields in Pittsford (schedule to be announced).
The PMSA and U8-11 post-Academy evaluations for team placement will take place at Brighton Sports Zone.
Cost and Schedule:
There IS an additional cost to participate this year. We have significantly improved our program based on parent and coaches feedback to the 2008 program. We have expanded our indoor time requirements and hired a professional coaching staff. The registration fee for the Academy is $125 per player for the first 2 players in a family, $65 for the third player. There is no cost for any additional family members that register for the Academy. Registration for the Academy will be included in the Travel registration process.
You must be registered for Travel Soccer to be included in the Academy.
