The Pittsford Mustangs Soccer Club is pleased to offer a developmental soccer program for both boys and girls under the age of ten in Spring and Fall. Called the ULTIMATE soccer program, our developmental offering combines fundamentals with competitive play. We offer both a spring/summer and fall seasons. This program is open to all children.

During ULTIMATE practices the children will learn basic skills of soccer and participate in inter-team games. It is time for the children to have fun and to develop soccer skills. Children are grouped on teams according to their age. Practices and games are held during the week with games on Saturday mornings.

The program was formed for the purpose of giving boys and girls in grades K to 5 the opportunity to learn and play the game of soccer through instruction and fundamentals. The spring season starts in early May (depending upon field conditions) with final games played in late June. A shortened version operates in the fall after school begins.

All participants must wear shin guards and bring a size 4 ball and water bottle to practices and scrimmages. Footwear can be either soccer or soft-soled tennis shoes. The weather during the Fall season in September and October can get chilly, so children should be dressed appropriately. Sweatshirts, sweat pants and jackets are recommended. Practices and scrimmages are held in inclement weather, with the exception of thunderstorms. All participants will vacate the fields in the event that a thunderstorm arises.

SPRING 2008 DETAILS

The Pittsford Mustangs Ultimate Soccer Spring season will run from Saturday, April 26th to Saturday, June 21st.

The Pittsford Mustangs Soccer Club will be conducting a registration for its developmental program on Wednesday, February 27th from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Pittsford Mendon High School Commons area and Saturday, March 1st from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Pittsford Mendon High School Commons area.

The cost of the Spring program will be $75 for the first child, $150 for two children and $180 for three or more children.

NOTE; Due to the number of applicants and for planning purposes we ARE NOT accepting Mail-in registrations for this session. 
The Ultimate Soccer League is designed to provide an introduction to soccer combined with progressive teaching as the players advance in skill.  It offers both individual skill development as well as team play and is intended to bridge the gap between recreational soccer and traditional travel programs.

Shin-guards are required for all players.  Footwear can be either soccer cleats or sneakers.

Practices and games are held in inclement weather with the exception of thunderstorms.
